Human Resource Development in the health sector is one of the main areas of cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador of Bhutan in Bangkok, Thailand is accredited to Myanmar and the Ambassador of Myanmar in New Delhi, India, is accredited to Bhutan. H.E. Mr. Kinzang Dorji is the current Ambassador of Bhutan to Myanmar, and H.E. Mr. Kyaw Aung is the current Ambassador of Myanmar to Bhutan.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-566682f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"566682f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Cooperation in human resource development in the health sector has been the highlight of relations between Bhutan and Myanmar even before the two countries established diplomatic relations. In June 1995, the Royal Civil Service Commission and the Ministry of Health of Myanmar signed an MoU for cooperation between the two countries in health through dispatch of doctors from Myanmar and training of Bhutanese health professionals in Myanmar.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-44b7b29\" data-id=\"44b7b29\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-69db704 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"69db704\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-wide\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-f3a4c4b\" data-id=\"f3a4c4b\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6e16e7c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6e16e7c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Under the framework of the MoU, the Government of Myanmar dispatched technical experts, doctors and surgeons to work on a contract basis in different hospitals in Bhutan. 71 medical specialists from Myanmar worked in Bhutan between 2004 and 2015. The last batch of doctors left Bhutan in August 2015. Currently, there are no medical specialists from Myanmar serving in Bhutan.<\/p><p>Bhutan and Myanmar signed a revised Air Service Agreement on 24 May 2016.<\/p><p>As members of BIMSTEC, Bhutan and Myanmar engage in various issues under the 14 sectors of cooperation under BIMSTEC.
