The Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) operates on a federated model from its nine colleges spread over the map of Bhutan. The University offer programmes at different levels such as Diploma, Undergraduate, and Masters (taught programme and Masters by Research). Tuition fee is charged to international students and the fees for Diploma and Undergraduate Sciences and Engineering programmes are 20% higher than Arts and Humanities programmes charged to Bhutanese students. Fees for Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate in Sciences and Engineering programmes are charged 37.5% more than Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate in Arts and Humanities programmes. Likewise, the tuition fees for Masters in Sciences and Engineering programmes are 50% more than Masters in Arts and Humanities programmes. Royal Thimphu College (RTC) is Bhutan’s first private college.
