Bhutanese transiting through airports in the Schengen Area do not require transit visas provided that they do not exit the international transit area of the airport. However, please bear in mind that if you need to exit the international transit area of the airport and pass through immigration check points before taking your connecting flight, you will have to apply for an Airport Transit Visa. Further, if you need to transit through more than one airport in the Schengen Area, you will need to apply for a regular Schengen Visa (Type C). You will also have to apply for a regular Schengen Visa (Type C) in case you need to leave the airport in order to take your flight in another airport within the same country.
