Bhutanese travellers applying for Schengen visa would have to go in person to submit biometrics at the time of visa application with effect from November 2015. The Schengen visas for the countries such as Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, Iceland (only biometrics), Japan, UK, Australia (biometrics), Lebanon and Malta (only long term visas) are processed at VFS, Thimphu (Office#17176868).
